We hold meetings on the 3rd Thursday of each month at 6:30 PM - 8:00 PM, at the South Regional Lafayette Public Library located at 6101 Johnston Street. Our meetings are open to the public and generally include a main presentation or a genealogical class in order to help further family history research.

We also hold Genealogy 101 Work Shops on the first Saturday of each month at 9:30 AM at the Main Lafayette Public Library located at 301 W. Congress Street Lafayette, LA. 70501.   A Genealogy 101 Work Shop can consist of a round table discussion or genealogy presentation.

This is a "heads up" reminder that Genealogy 101 that is held the first Saturday of the month will be held at the South Regional Branch of the library for the month of June ONLY. The change for one month ONLY was due to the kick-off of the summer reading program that would be occurring at the Downtown site. There will be many little people and their parents at that location. Plus parking may be difficult. So please remember that in June Genealogy 101 will take place at the South Regional Library, 1601 Johnston St., Lafayette, LA on June 3, 2017 at 9:30 A.M. Another reminder will be sent next week.
